Where to drive from the airport
It’s about 20 km to Tbilisi city center on a straightforward road. From there you can head to Kakheti or take the Georgian Military Road toward Gudauri and Kazbegi. Mountain routes are fine for all except premium cars and low sedans. Gravel is allowed, but tires and the underbody aren’t covered by insurance.
Return the car in another city
One‑way rentals between major cities are available. Tbilisi → Batumi is usually free. Batumi → Tbilisi can have a fee; the exact amount is confirmed at booking. Returns in Kutaisi are also possible.
